After Hours Emergency

Thank you for trusting Charlottesville and Crozet Blue Ridge Dental for your emergency dental care!

We provide a full range of emergency dental services during normal business hours. Call our offices and we can usually find a way to fit you into our schedule and deal with your tooth pain either the same or next business day.

For after hours and weekend emergencies, we do offer some limited services, but we are not a fully staffed emergency dental clinic. If your issue is not urgent, leave a message and we will get back to you on the following business day. If you would like to be seen more urgently, please see details below to see how we can serve your needs.

To be seen / receive treatment:

There is a $200 convenience fee to be seen outside of regular business hours. The convenience fee will not be covered by dental insurance and must be paid at time of service. Outside of normal business hours, it may not be possible to verify your insurance benefits to insure an accurate estimate of cost. Before moving forward with any treatment, we will always quote our best estimate of your insurance coverage and can show you the worst case out-of-pocket expense in case your insurance helps to cover less than we could predict.

For most patients, the minimum cash price (with no insurance) for an emergency visit is:
$171 for exam and x-ray + $200 convenience fee = $371

Any treatment that is needed for the problem at hand will be presented for your review and costs will be in addition to the above.

As previously stated, we are not a fully staffed emergency clinic so our ability to see patients in-office depends on the availability of a doctor and an assistant at the time of the emergency. Once received, we will attempt to coordinate staff to meet you and will return your call with the options.

For current patients who are experiencing new pain, who have ongoing issues, or who have complications with recent work performed, we can often manage these problems over the phone.
